SAN FRANCISCO (January 16, 2015)The Roxborough Group, LLC, a real estate private equity firm headquartered in San Francisco, is pleased to announce the closing of Roxborough Fund I, LP, led by The University of Texas Investment Management Company for the University of Texas System’s endowments. The $101 million fund will focus on value-add and transitional real estate assets, high-yield real estate debt and real estate-related operating companies in the western United States.

Industry veteran Marc Perrin founded The Roxborough Group in 2013 after 16 years at Starwood Capital Group, where he most recently co-headed U.S. investing. The Roxborough Group invests in all real estate asset classes, including office, industrial, residential, retail, hospitality and resort. Roxborough Fund I focuses on combining flexible capital and operational know-how to reposition real estate assets and real estate-related operating companies. The fund is structured to provide expanded co-investment opportunities to its own investors as well as relationship investors of The Roxborough Group.

“During periods of global economic and political instability like we are currently experiencing, capital migrates to the stability of yield-based investment such as U.S. real estate,” said Perrin, the managing partner of The Roxborough Group.

“Roxborough Fund I brings operating expertise and capital to recapitalize and reposition transitional real estate assets into steady cash-flowing properties that meet the demands of an increasingly global investor base,” Perrin said. “We enjoy investing directly and partnering with best-in-class real estate operating partners to generate consistent value-add, risk-adjusted returns to our investors. This is an exciting time for our firm as we look to grow our team to help support our expanding capital base.”
